Tattoo Tuesday!

Well I did it! I got my first tattoo and as promised I photographed it all :)
First is the Stencil

All in all a very positive experience. It was not all that painful. It felt like someone was scratching deeply and repeatedly in the same spot. Uncomfortable but not unbearable. I am so glad I did it. I love how it came out!

Very nice. Just watch out, they can be addicting. I’ve only got one right now, but I’ve got plans for at least two others.
That’s a really elegant design and great colours.
The friend that went with me, she has one and does have plans for two others so ya I think they can be addicting for sure. I haven’t told anyone that I was doing this. I just didn’t want any negative remarks about my decision. It will be interesting what my friends will say. If reaction is relatively positive I may consider one more :)
BTW the tat did not hurt at all yesterday but today it feels like a sun burn :( A little annoying.
Oh I forgot to tell why I decided on this design. It is a Sparrow. My favorite hymn is ‘His Eye is on the Sparrow’ below are the words my favorite part is the refrain/chorus.

She did a really nice job, the colors are beautiful and the lines very delicate. I still want to do mine! You say it hurts more today?
It hurt a bit this morning but it is fine now. Nothing worse than a sunburn feeling. Not that big of a deal really. I was just surprised that it didn’t hurt at all yesterday.
Beautiful! I like that you have a song to think of when you look at your tattoo. I believe that tattoos should represent something special, and yours really does. xoxox

Thanks Lisa. It is at the ugly stage now :( It is itchy and peeling but I was told to expect that. But I really do love how it turned out.

Nice Tatt…..quite the process yeah? I got mine way back in my Marine Corp days when they didn’t have all these fancy stencils and stuff. You just tell ‘em what you want and they just kinda did it. Oh yeah….my mom was real pleased!
